New Jersey is the most crowded state in the U.S. There are approximately 1,000 people per square mile, which is 13 times the average. 90 percent of the states population also lives in an "urban" area.

The state is also known for the vast number of beach resorts and towns that it has. There are over 50 towns in total and hundreds of resort hotels. It is the diner capital of the world and has more, per mile, than any other place on earth.

The state is home to some pretty big names in the entertainment industry. Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Queen Latifa, Frank Sinatra, Jason Alexander, and Whitney Houston are all from the Garden State. Next to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, New Jersey has the most casinos and slot machines than anywhere else in the country.

The law to make casino gambling legal in the state was not approved until 1977. The first dinosaur skeleton was found in Haddonfield in 1858. The fossil discovered belonged to that of "Hadrosaurus and was thus adopted as the state dinosaur of New Jersey.

The state is a shopaholic's dream. There are more shopping malls in 25 miles of the state than anywhere else in the world. Fruit is one of New Jersey's largest industries. They are a top producer of blueberries and cranberries, and Jersey Tomatoes are known world-wide as the "best one can buy".
